MEDUZA is a Feature Film and TV production house headed up by award winning producers Julia Godzinskaya and Sophie Vickers.

Julia and Sophie produced and executive produced over 20+ award winning feature films, some of which have gone on to become the highest grossing independent films: Robert Egger’s Sundance and Spirit Award winning debut THE WITCH (A24/Universal) starring Anya Taylor-Joy; Gillian Robespierre’s Sundance darling OBVIOUS CHILD (A24/Buena Vista Int’l) starring Jenny Slate; Adam Leon’s TIFF competition title TRAMPS (Netflix) starring Grace van Patten and Callum Turner ; E.L. Katz’s SXSW competition title SMALL CRIMES (Netflix) starring Nikolaj Coster-Waldau; Malgorzata Szumowska’s TIFF horror THE OTHER LAMB (IFC) starring Raffey Cassidy and Denise Gough; as well as Sally El Hosaini’s Sundance, Berlinale and LFF winning feature MY BROTHER THE DEVIL starring James Floyd and Laetitia Wright. 

Most recently Julia and Sophie produced Academy Award winner Aneil Karia’s Sundance film SURGE starring Ben Whishaw and Stacey Gregg’s SXSW thriller HERE BEFORE starring Andrea Riseborough, as well as the ARIA and APA award winning podcast series for Audible, ALGORITHMS, written by and starring Sadie Clark.

Prior to joining forces, Julia worked on Jonathan Glazer’s critically acclaimed film UNDER THE SKIN starring Scarlett Johansson, Joe Cornish’ break out hit ATTACK THE BLOCK starring John Boyega, whilst Sophie was an executive on Cary Fukanaga’s Academy Award nominated JANE EYRE starring Mia Wasikowska, John Lee Hancock’s BAFTA and Academy Award winning SAVING MR BANKS starring Emma Thompson and Tom Hanks, and Stephen Poliakoff’s TV series DANCING ON THE EDGE starring Chewitel Ejiofor.
